Camp NaNoWriMo is a bit of a “boot camp” — or summer retreat depending on your perspective — that serves as prep for National Novel Writer’s Month. NaNoWriMo takes place each November, and during this initiative, participants commit to writing a novel in a month though I believe some also utilize the month for other parts of the writing process.
I’m using Camp NaNoWriMo in a similar manner to this challenge — to establish a good, daily writing habit — but also to actually begin work on a long-term project I want to commit to. My goal is minor — 500 words per day — however, over the course of a month, I will end up with at least 15,000 words…a good portion of a book.
