Here are two pictures I have used on my public profiles in the past because they managed to make my skin look like a poreless wonder despite it’s being anything but.
The top one I took with my web camera before filming a video so I could check my apperance/lighting. The lack of bright lighting must have given the camera the softer focus that gave me such a nice glow…that and bare minerals. Another picture taken at the same time is my main social media profile picture and is in my Publishing Credits page above.
The second picture was only briefly on my twitter profile. I am sharing it more because my eyes are prominent in the photo and you can see the blue sclera (the white of the eye) associated with people with OI. You can also more clearly see how my lower jaw extends past my upper one which leads to my suffering TMJ pain on occasion. I had braces twice (once as a child, once as a teen). I will probably get them again and confer with an orthodontist at that point about the possibility of orthognathic surgery (which I’m not sure is the best idea for someone with OI though it has been done more than successfully) or if adult braces coupled with aggressive bite maintenance methods like retainers would be good enough.
